Hello, if you haven't guessed yet, my name is Kerry McMasters. I currently reside in the Boston, MA area. I am also the organist at Sacred Heart Parish in Weymouth Ma. I have been a Liturgical musician since I was in high school. I have always had a fascination with music ever since I was a small child. I started out singing in a boys choir and continued from there. I had taken organ lessons when I was 10 years old. From there I had moved on to learning how to play the pipe organ at my home parish of St. Angela in Mattapan, MA. Since then I have been actively involved in liturgical music. I did the rock band thing while I was in high school and for quite a few years after. I have been writing music for over 20 years now. This brings me joy in knowing that I am in some way enhancing the way that people Praise and Worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When I'm not in church, I work in the HVAC service industry.
The past few years have brought many changes to my life. I have come to know the power of the Holy Spirit in my daily life. I have seen first hand , the workings of the Holy Spirit. There have been times that it has been difficult previously to write music for worship, but since coming to know the Holy Spirit more intimately, it seems as sometimes there is an abundance of music to write. I am very thankful of this gift and give it back to God every chance I get. Sometimes its very difficult to explain. There are times when a complete song will be given to me from start to finish. It is at these times that I am most thankful.
There are many gifts , but the same Spirit who provides them. I have learned that although you may think that God has given you a simple gift or two, there is much fruit on the Vine that we need to bear for the Lord. If we do not, the fruit will only rot on the vine. I have also found that the Lord gives the Gifts of the Holy Spirit at any given time to those who need to use them for His will.
There is so much more to speak about. If you want to read more, go to the blog link. I will try to keep it updated as much as possible. Please feel free to contact me also.
May the Peace of the Lord always be with you,
